Services
For adults
At The Anchor Practice, we offer a range of evidence-based psychotherapies for adults experiencing a wide range of emotional and psychological difficulties. All are offered by highly trained and regulated mental health clinicians who have been selected for their level of training, experience post-qualification and their dedication to remaining up to date in their fields.
Our team comprises a group of clinicians who are fully qualified having completed training in their field. We do not offer treatments by trainees or assistants.

Some people contact us about a clear issue they want help with; others arrive with a more general sense of feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or “not themselves”. Our role is to provide a calm, structured space to think—together—about what is happening in a person's inner world.
This might entail a focus on relationships, life circumstances, past experiences or current workplace stress. Crucially, the focus will be guided by you and what feels most relevant and meaningful.
While some people feel a clear structure and focus is helpful to them, others prefer having more flexibility and space to explore. Both approaches can be beneficial and we are fortunate to have a range of clinicians who specialise in different modalities to accommodate this.
For those people seeking support who are neurodiverse, we are aware of the particular importance of considering what approach feels optimal. We would approach this on an individual basis and, as always, seek to understand how you as an individual experience the world to provide the most tailored support.
What will be in common across treatment types will be a process of jointly agreeing a plan that feels realistic, meaningful and individualised.
